Jesse Dean Sutton, 47, of Goodyear, died Jan 1, 2013 at home. He was born May 23, 1965 in San Diego, Calif. to Claude and Donna Sutton. Billie Bostic, 72, of Goodyear, died Dec. 26, 2012. She was born May 30, 1940 to William Bagley and Willie B. Jordan. She is survived by her daughter Cora; sons Derrick Bostic and Donald Bagley; six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Ludlow, Louistine Hurley Mattox
Louistine Hurley Mattox Ludlow, 77, of Avondale passed away on December 23, 2012. Ms. Ludlow was born January 29, 1935, in Salina, Oklahoma to Melda Fulks Hurley (Mabis) and Louis Hurley, and moved to Avondale as a young girl. She was also the step-daughter to the former Fire Chief of Avondale, John Mabis. She was a resident of Avondale and attended Litchfield High School . During her high school years she took pride in leading the band as the majorette. She moved to Bakersfield , CA to be a homemaker and moved back to Avondale in the late 1970s. She was employed by the Ramada Inn in Goodyear for a number of years. After she retired, she tirelessly cared for her ailing mother. She loved spending time with her children and doted on her grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons, Mickey Mattox of Milwaukee, WI, Tem Mattox of Bakersfield, CA and Rick Orick of Goodyear; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn Mathalia of Glendale and Jo Karan Mann of Plano, TX; one uncle, Willie Fulks and one aunt, Martha Anderson, both of Goodyear. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Avondale at 1:00 pm on December 29th and officiated by Reverend Tem Mattox. Vera Elder (July 17, 1921-December 24, 2012) has gone on to her new life with our Lord in Heaven; she passed after a long illness and is now at peace. Vera was born in Berlin Germany to Oscar and Gertrude Hemple. She was brought to the United States as a young girl. Vera was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo A. Elder, her son Larry E. Elder and oldest daughter Lucinda V. Elder Putnam. Vera is survived by her daughters Sandy L. Weiss (Fred) of Fort Collins, CO; Cheryl G. Looney (Leon) of Goodyear, AZ; Dorothy E. Calhoun (John) of Robertsville, MO; Theresa V. Elder of Phoenix, AZ and son Marcus L. Elder (Gail) of Litchfield Park, AZ; grandchildren Carter & Brian Looney, Jason & Lisa Elder, Skyla Engler, Bob & Tim Putnam, Norman Hicks, and numerous great grandchildren. Also her only sibling Dorothy A. Schons of Coon Rapids, MN. Vera worked as an accountant for Phoenix west side business, retiring after many years with Conair Corp. Her last years were spent in the care of Cook Health Care Center (Lifestream) in Youngstown, AZ. Prayers are welcome. No services are planned. Johnny Lloyd Oldham died on December 16, 2012 surrounded by his family in Buckeye, AZ.
Johnny was born to Lloyd Daniel and Noe Oldham in Osaka, Japan on January 29, 1949 and moved to Birmingham, AL as an infant.
Johnny began his career as a computer systems analyst with Unisys Corporation and later began his own successful PC and computer networking business inAtlanta,GA. His personal interests included golf, fishing, and travel. He was also a ferventUniversityofAlabamafootball fan.
He is survived by his spouse, Mary Jo Oldham, his two sons Johnny Jr. and Gregory, his sisters Susan Pardeu and Linda Cutcher, his brother James, two step-sons, two grandchildren and his beloved dog, Meg.

Besch, Frances Marie
Frances Marie Besch, 95, of Avondale, Ariz. died Dec. 18, 2012. She was born on October 16, 1917 in Mansfield, Ohio and moved to Arizona in 2008. She worked as an administrative assistant for an insurance company. She is survived by her daughter Madeleine Thomas; sons Dr. Nicholas Besch and Joseph Besch; and brother, Robert Mutsch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pauline Mutsch.

Ann M. Yappel, 87, of Goodyear, died Dec. 13, 2012. She was born Antionette Margarette Aiello on Apr. 30, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio.
She is survived by her son Richard, daughter Lois, brother Frank, and two grandchildren, Janelle and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick.
She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and devoted wife. We will miss her as we enjoy our heartfelt memories. May she have eternal peace.

Blundell, David John
David John Blundell, 50, of Avondale, Ariz., passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Somerville, New Jersey. David resided with his wife Irene in Avondale, Arizona. David was a proud patriot. He served as a MSgt in the Air Force, deploying in many capacities in many locations around the world. Following a 20 year career in the Air Force, David worked as a technical writer and as an adjunct professor. He was most recently employed with CAE and Gateway Community College.
David had a passion for friends and family, and his love for the people in his life was a more accurate and enduring testimony to his character than the many prestigious awards and acknowledgements from his lengthy career. He was also an avid collector, an enthusiast for art and antiques and fine furniture.
David is survived by his loving wife, Irene; a daughter, Jessica Stewart; sons, Joe, Josh, Chris; grandchildren, Aspen, Wiatt, Dante; one sister, Sherri Kennedy; and two brothers, Gregg and Jack; and his companion always by his side, Mocha.

Diane Renee Carrerow, 59, of Buckeye, passed away Nov. 21, 2012. Mrs. Carrerow was born Nov. 4, 1953 in San Jose, Calif. to Frank and Eleanor Corica.
She graduated from St Larence High School in 1972. After living in Texas for 20 years, Diane returned to Sunnyvale CA in 1997 to re-marry her true love, Gary. In 2002, Diane and Gary moved to Arizona to enjoy their lives together.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She adored her grandchildren Kyleigh and Austin. Diane truly loved and cared for those she worked with and was always there for everyone and anyone that needed help.
She is survived by her husband Gary, daughter Kristin, son- in- law Paul, step -children Ranay, Gary, Robert, Able and Matthew, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and the many friends she touched in her short life. Her passions were collecting dolls and sewing. Her smile, love of laughter and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Her generous love and vast wisdom will always live on in those she loved and cared for. We are all blessed to have had her as a part of our lives. With her passing, the world has lost a shining light that will forever shine brightly in heaven.
