Our team handles everything so your family will not have to worry about the details. The facility serves as your all-inclusive arrangement center. We have relationships with several venues throughout the Valley where you can hold a Funeral Chapel or memorial event, or we can arrange it at the venue of your choice.
Our Funeral Chapel home was founded in 1957 by Don Cannon under the name Cannon Funeral Home. In 1964, Cannon moved it from Downtown Avondale to its current convenient location on Litchfield Road in Goodyear. Sean and Cynthia Thompson purchased the business in 2005 and changed the name to Thompson Funeral Chapel. Sean and Cynthia have spent over 30 years in the Funeral business, and they had a new vision in mind for the Funeral Chapel and the services it provides. They have completed major upgrades to the facility and grounds, and built a team with high standards of service.
When you work with Thompson Funeral Chapel, you will have a dedicated team helping you so there is always someone available to lend a hand, answer questions, and serve your family. Our staff also focuses on making sure our facility, team, and arrangements are a positive reflection on you and your loved ones.

Our mission is to provide the Southwest Valley with funeral, memorial, and cremation services beyond what is expected and to create an atmosphere of peace at a time when it is needed the most.
Our philosophy will be to approach this as a ministry and treat our customers as such but also understand that we operate a business. We will strive to keep customers first; business decisions second.
Our goal is to become the most highly recognized funeral chapel in the Southwest Valley and then in the State of Arizona.
